Our Commitment to Bird Health

At Chatty Parrots, the health and well-being of our parrots is our highest priority. We ensure that every bird:

  • Is raised in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment
  • Receives proper nutrition and socialization
  • Is regularly monitored for signs of illness or stress
  • Is examined by a qualified avian veterinarian before sale

We are committed to ethical breeding and responsible care practices.


Veterinary Health Check

Before delivery or pickup, each parrot undergoes a general health assessment to ensure it is:

  • Free from visible signs of disease
  • Active, alert, and feeding normally
  • In good physical condition

A health record or certificate (if applicable) may be provided upon request.


Health Guarantee Period

We offer a 7-day health guarantee from the date of delivery or pickup.

During this period:

  • If your parrot shows signs of serious illness, you must contact us immediately
  • A licensed veterinarian must examine the bird within this timeframe
  • A written report from the vet may be required

Guarantee Coverage

Our guarantee covers:

  • Congenital (birth-related) defects
  • Serious infectious diseases present prior to sale

If a qualifying issue is confirmed, we will offer one of the following:

  • Replacement of the bird (subject to availability), or
  • Partial or full refund (based on the situation)

Buyer Responsibilities

To maintain the validity of this guarantee, buyers must:

  • Provide proper housing, nutrition, and care
  • Avoid exposing the bird to extreme temperatures or stressful conditions
  • Schedule a veterinary check-up within the first few days of receiving the bird
  • Not expose the bird to other potentially sick animals

Failure to follow proper care guidelines may void the guarantee.


Exclusions

This guarantee does not cover:

  • Illnesses caused by improper care, diet, or accidents after purchase
  • Stress-related conditions due to environmental changes
  • Minor conditions that do not affect the bird’s long-term health
  • Any issues reported after the guarantee period has expired

Return Policy

Returns are only accepted under verified health concerns covered by this policy.

  • The bird must be returned in its original condition (unless medically affected)
  • Shipping or transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed

No Guarantee on Behavior or Lifespan

While we ensure our parrots are well-socialized, we do not guarantee:

  • Specific behavior traits
  • Talking ability
  • Lifespan

These depend on ongoing care, training, and environment.
